Feeding time at my house has become messy time. My one-year old is fascinated with feeding himself. From turkey burgers and fruit to mac n’cheese or spaghetti, even yogurt (have you ever seen a baby it yogurt? It’s cute but not clean!), he wants to grab it, smush it and shove it in to his mouth. I love that he is learning to be independent and increase those fine motor skills but I don’t love changing him after every meal so I need a bib that keeps him as clean as can be. I recently got the chance to receive and review Better Baby Bibs—made locally here in the Akron area—and I was eager to see if they lived up to their name.
About Better Baby Bibs
Better Baby Bibs are the product of Akron-Canton resident, mom, grandma and longtime seamstress Gretta Workman. When her first grandchild was born, in addition to showering him with love like only a grandma could, she began making him homemade bibs. Since then, her son David has been encouraging to share her creation with other parents. Four years later, Gretta took his advice and now, Better Baby Bibs are available to the public.

Better Baby Bib Features
Better Baby Bibs are unlike any other bib I’ve ever used before. They are made out of large, absorbent towels so they “cover the splash zone” and are great at keeping a little eater’s clothes clean and dry. And being that they’re an up-cycled towel, they are great for cleanup, too; just a quick wipe of the hands and face post-meal and you’re done.

Better Baby Bibs tie at the neck so it’s pretty tough for baby to get them off, even if said baby is a mover, a puller or both (like mine!)
And Better Baby Bibs come in a variety of great colors and designs for boys and girls alike. There’s a royal blue and orange Anchors Away design for your sailor (seen above), a light blue Elephant design for the little ladies and even special designs for Birthdays and Christmas.
I really liked using the Better Baby Bibs. They absolutely kept my little guy clean during meal time and they were also a breeze to clean (just throw them in the wash with your other towels).
And I have to admit that I am a sucker for locally owned companies. I love seeing a regular mom (or grandma, or dad, whoever) take something that made their life with kids better or easier and share it with the rest of us and be successful at it. So way to go, Gretta!
