I have struggled with finding great cups for Kiernan. He never took a bottle and a sippy cup was a struggle. He loves drinking out of a regular glass but I am worried about him dropping and breaking glasses. I have seen glass bottles with these rubberized cover things and thought why haven’t they made cups like that. Well Silikids has, I just didn’t know it.
I received product to facilitate this post.
Silikids Background
Silikids is a Mom built company. Co-Founded in 2006 in Traverse City, Michigan by two mom who were concerned toxic chemicals in children’s plastic tableware and set out to offer a better alternative. What they came up with (Silikids) is blowing away the market with and eco-friendly, well made product line.
Siliskin Glass Cups
Silikids has rocked the kids cup world with Siliskin glass cups. These cups are functional and fun! They are available in a two pack ($12.95) and you have two color options for the silicone sleeves. I have them in Tart and my boys both love these cups. I love them because they are so easy to clean and when Kiernan decides to place him cup on the table with a little added force…. it doesn’t end up broken! If your little one isn’t quite ready for a regular cup Silikids makes a sipper top ($4.95)that fits most standard straight sided glasses.
SiliMap
The Silimap($14.95) is a wonderful addition to our table. I can’t keep the glass top on our table clean when Kiernan eats. This place mat is more useful then just keeping my table clean. It folds up neatly so I can easily throw it in the diaper bag and add a few washable markers and I have instant entertainment anywhere we go. It wipes up easily and is dishwasher safe. We use it to help Kiernan practice identifying letters.
