Do you ever feel like you get as wet as your toddler when you give them a bath?  Slippery babies can get you just as wet. I know it is not just me, other moms are going through the same thing. One innovative mom, decided to create a solution for the rest of us called the Stay Dry Bath Towel and Apron. It is an apron to keep you dry and a towel to safely dry your baby.

Stay Dry Towel & Apron Review

My days of sitting by the bathtub while my kids take a bath and splash me are sadly gone. My kids are 4 & 6 and no longer need my constant supervision during bathtime. sniff sniff As fondly as I recall those times, I also very clearly remember that just about every bath time, I would have to change out of my WET clothes. I was always wet, not just from splashing (my kids are best at splashing!) but from reaching in to wash my kids and then getting them out of the tub. How I wish I had a Stay Dry Towel & Apron a year or two ago!

This towel/apron is just perfect for bathing kids. Simply slip on the apron and you are ready for any splashes or even accidents from babies that come your way! Secure the apron with the ties in the back, the apron stays secure while remaining the full size of a towel.

This is great for newborns and even toddlers. If you have a newborn or even an older baby, bath time can be scary. A slippery baby is hard to handle! With the Stay Dry Towel & Apron, the towel is close to your body so you don’t have to fumble with a loose towel. Your baby will be held close to you and the attached towel where he is safest. The apron attaches around your neck with velcro, so you can easily take it off after you wrap your baby in the towel. It’s large enough to wrap even an older toddler!

Now, I don’t have a baby so my daughter’s baby doll will have to do for this demo! (I plan to give this Stay Dry Towel & Apron to my sister who has a 4 week old baby & 2 year daughter.)

Yes, it’s a baby doll! But you get the point and can see how easy it is to hold the baby with plenty of towel to dry off and keep your baby warm after bath time.

Which reminds me, don’t you just love my kids new bathroom that I’m standing in? I can’t get over how well the remodel went. I’m standing in front of the American Standard Princeton Tub which I highly recommend for families with kids because of their kid-friendly features. You’ll have to read my post to learn more. Plus, I’m standing on the very comfortable Tarkett Luxury Vinyl Tile. With splashy bathtimes, this tile is preferred over other flooring solutions for safety and comfort.

So, product details on the Stay Dry Towel & Apron:

  • One size fits all at 33″W x 46″L.
  • Made of 100% plush cotton terry.
  • Adjustable Velcro neck, and ties at back.
  • Comes in 3 colors: Citrus green, pink, and soft blue.
  • Includes matching bath mitt – fits snugly on the hand with its elastic wristband.

Thanks for giving us your towel! I just used it a couple nights ago after Grace got a bath. She loved being wrapped up in it! :)

holy cow. I have drenched myself so many times, and the best I could do was to safety pin a towel to my shirt when bathing the kid. What a great idea!

This is a great idea. For one, my little one hates bath time and its hard enough to get her out of the tub when she is flopping around then gets mad because shes cold but won’t stay still long enough for me to wrap her up in a towel. The way I do it now is to lay out towel out on my bed before I even put her in the tup then rush her out while she still wet, lay her on the towel and toss another over top of her. Dry her as much as possible and have a warm yummy bottle waiting for her so she will calm down. This would be so helpful to get her out and dry without the extra work. Also your shower curtain is adorable.

I think this is a good product because Mom or Dad can stay fairly dry while the kid in the tub has a bath!

I think this is a GREAT product. My 9 month old daughter LOVES to splish and splash in the tub. And when I pick her up from the tub, she likes to “cuddle” with me. That leaves my clothes wet. Although it doesn’t really bother me, as I can just change clothes…it’d be nice to not have to!

I think this is a good product because it never fails that you are all ready to go somewhere and the baby makes a mess of himself and needs a bath before you can leave and you always end up soaking wet.

I saw this once in a store but haven’t seen it since. Does anyone know where i can find them? It is such a simple and BRILLANT idea! When bathing my newborn, not only did i always end up getting just as wet, but terrified that i would drop the baby. Plus its big enough even for toddlers. LOVE IT!

I love this idea! With a toddler and a baby this product would be amazing at bathtime! I could easily give both children their baths at the same time and it would be an easy way for me to dry off one and hand the baby off to my husband already dry and ready to be dressed!

Why it’s a good product? Oh for the same reasons you think so! I LOVE letting our son splash and play in the bath… but I hate being soaked and cold afterwards! Sounds like this would solve my problem!

This looks like such a great product to not only keep mama dry, but also keep your baby close to you when they are all wet and slippery!

My daughter used to squirm alot when I would get her out of the tub, this seems like she would be less likely to fall while I was carrying her.

I honestly don’t think that I have ever given one of my children a bath and stayed dry. So I think that this is a wonderful idea.

I think this is an awesome product and would love to win one to help the wife with or son. We already have 3 children and are expecting another in February, but seem s to be a chance it could be any day now. I have tried to help as much as I can with the “mommy duty’s” when we have a newborn, but having a bad back due to an injury, the biggest problem is helping at bath time because of the bending down into the tub and having to have a towel so close by to reach for. I often set it on a table next to and behind me, within reach for her, but difficult to me as I have to take my eyes off the baby for a few second’s and as you know, that is not safe with a wet, slippery baby! Having such a wonderful product would not only help me feel safer helping bathe the baby while she gets her rest (like mom’s of newborn’s ever get enough) but will also make it a safer bath experience for me an the baby. Not to mention it might make me look like a hero in her eye’s that I actually tried to make a bad experience/time better for all those involved!!
