It Started with Goodbye follows the life of 16 year old Tatum after she’s been falsely accused of a crime. She has a loving father but the “stepmonster” runs the show as she finds herself under house arrest. Tatum finds freedom doing community service during the day and her own graphic design business at night. 
Although this is a Cinderella fairy tale rendition, the focus is not on romance or “Prince Charming” although there is a love interest. The focus of this book is on relationships, especially friendships and family. This is a believable book with a main character who speaks her mind, goes for what she wants and who struggles with real things young women struggle with. 
Will this Cinderella have a happy ending? You bet! Sometimes fresh starts are all you need in life.
