Kids ages 7-16 that love stories about time travel with real historical events woven in will enjoy reading the new new young adult fantasy adventure series, Star Passage. Star Passage is filled with adventure with the underlying theme of the importance of family. Follow along with teenage siblings as they travel through time, avoiding dangerous figures in history to find an ancient relic that may help them save their family.
I like that there is a boy and a girl for the main characters, making this read suitable for both genders. The story is certainly exciting and compelling for both girls and boys in this tween/teen age group although younger children will need assistance reading this book series. Each book is 250-300 pages in length, making it a great book to read along with if you have younger children and the perfect size for ages 10-16 to read alone. Parents that have the opportunity to read with their child will be just as intrigued with the story!
The ancient relic that the teenagers are seeking is powerful which has drawn wicked people to search for it as well. I like that the author has woven in real historical events (meeting George Washington, traveling to the Badlands of the American West, and more) into this fantasy/sci-fi book. Will the teenage siblings get it before them? Will it help their parents with Post Traumatic Stress and depression? Or will the teenage siblings get trapped forever in the past by the evil forces that pursue them?
This action-packed book will keep even reluctant readers engaged!
You can purchase StarPassage: Book One, The Relic on Amazon for $15.99 and StarPassage: Book Two, Heroes and Martyrs on Amazon for $15.99. This series is great for gift-giving this Christmas as well.
