Our Akron Move It Now Experience
When my parents decided to move, we weren’t sure how we were going to move them. My husband was going to be out of town the entire weekend, my brother was in a car accident and is still recovering, my sister is pregnant, and my brother-in-law had to work. How were we going to move the heavy furniture, appliances, and all the boxes?!
I remembered seeing the Akron Move It Now trucks off Rt 8 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and decided to contact them. Akron Move It Now was a lifesaver for us! Our movers were professional, friendly, and a quick with our move.
During a quick interview on the phone, we were able to determine the size of truck my parents needed, the number of movers, and hours for our job. Akron Move It Now moves the smallest of homes and apartments to the largest of mansions, they have it down to a science.
I was surprised by the number of padding they had to keep all of our furniture safe during the move.
I can’t express how grateful we were for two strong movers moving all of our heavy appliances and furniture! There is no way we could have physically moved this ourselves this time around. There is no badge of honor if you do it all yourself. Plus, the professionals are simply better at it! They know how to maneuver everything in and out of the house without damaging the furniture or the home. Plus, they pack everything safe in the truck. We didn’t have one thing broken or damaged in our move.
Our two-man team quickly moved all of the heavy furniture out of the house and onto the truck. It was literally only a little over 1 hour to move my parent’s 2 bedroom home into the truck! I couldn’t believe it.
My parents and I were literally just standing around, not sure what to do since they were taking care of everything so quickly. 
My parents have a LOT of stuff, boxes from when I was a child still, I’m sure. My dad had most of the house, besides the heavy stuff, staged in the garage. This saved a lot of time during the move.
Akron Move It Now charges by the hour. The more you have ready, the quicker the move will be. However, if you want them to disassemble your bed, etc, they will gladly do that for you as well. They will do as little or as much as you request. 
Once we were packed and ready to go, we headed to the new house.
My parents’ new house has some tight corners, especially going up the stairs. We thought for sure that the banister would have to be removed during move-in day. Amazingly, we able to move everything upstairs without doing that. 
The refrigerator turned out to be a BIG challenge. The door was actually smaller than typical doors, making it a very tight squeeze to get the refrigerator inside. I don’t know what we would have done without them! They were able to remove part of the door’s hardware and then shimmy the refrigerator inside. 
It took some time, but our movers were very patient and got it done. 
We had an allotted 4 hours for our move, which included 35 minutes of drive time. Our biggest hope was that the movers will get everything to the new house and the heavy stuff in the house. They did more than that! They even helped put the furniture back together! In fact, they will help you arrange furniture the way you like if you ask. Our movers were so agreeable, they took great care of all of my parents’ belongings and were always so responsive to our additional requests.
We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience with Akron Move It Now. They were professional, sensitive to our need, friendly, and quick! We were able to actually start unpacking and setting up rooms in the afternoon instead of spending an entire day loading and unloading the truck! What a welcomed change this was in our moving experience!
