Life’s special milestones deserve special celebration! This September, my dad celebrated his 75th birthday. My two brothers, my mom and I wanted to do something extraordinary as a family to celebrate him and how special he is to our family. It didn’t take long for us to decide that an overnight at The Villas at Gervasi Vineyard in Canton, Ohio, was just the place for our celebrations! My husband and I were privileged enough to have stayed at The Villas the summer before, and we came home raving about our experience (see my review here).
I received promotions to facilitate this post.
This time, however, it wasn’t a romantic couple’s overnight Our time at Gervasi’s Villas was spent with three generations of my family, 10 of us in all. I know those two occasions are very different, and you may be questioning whether or not The Villas at Gervasi can serve both of those occasions equally well. My answer is a resounding “YES!”
A Little About The Villas at Gervasi Vineyard
The Villas at Gervasi Vineyard are a truly unique set up. Each of the 6 villas houses four separate, beautifully appointed overnight suites. The four suites are connected by an equally impressive shared, or “common area,” with gathering and dining spaces. For our family weekend, we used the common area to relax together, have my dad open birthday gifts, and to socialize with the nice couple sharing the villa with us (they were celebrating their 40th anniversary.).

Not a detail has been missed in the villas. Fixtures, furnishings, finishes, and accessories are all top-of-the-line. The rooms feel cozy and luxurious. Each suite has its own beautifully appointed bathroom as well as its own gas fireplace. My family and I loved falling asleep to its soft glow and warmth.

Just as stunning as the interiors of the villas is the setting outside the villas. The 6 villas are clustered together in a quiet part of the acres of land at Gervasi. Each villa has its own patio as well. We loved hanging out on the patio. Some of us even had breakfast there, bundled in our Gervasi bathrobes and sipping wonderful coffee. Such a treat! My family kept commenting how gorgeous the surroundings were, and how they felt like they had been transported out of Ohio!

Manicured walking paths lead guests from the Villas to the Crush House and Bistro restaurants, the Gervasi Marketplace, corn hole and bocce ball courts, pavilion, vineyards, hiking paths and more.

Really, a stay at Gervasi’s Villas means being able to take full advantage of all of its MANY amenities.
The weekend we were there, the Piazza outdoor dining area and outdoor game areas were hopping when we arrived around 4:00 pm. It was Labor Day weekend, and we saw lots of couples, other families, and some groups of ladies enjoying the beautiful setting.

One of the greatest things about an experience at Gervasi Vineyard and Villas is that even when it is busy, it doesn’t feel busy. Life while at Gervasi Vineyard goes at a slower, more relaxed pace. Staff provide you with top-notch service, and encourage you to linger. The Villa guest rooms beg you to reconnect, recharge, and just enjoy.
Personally, I think Gervasi Vineyard is an amazing place. It has now become my benchmark for a truly superior overnight experience. My family agrees. In fact, as we walked to dinner at The Bistro at Gervasi during our stay (see my review of the Bistro here), my dad quietly said to me, “I know I said it didn’t matter what we did to celebrate my birthday as long as we were all together, and I meant that, but a celebration at Gervasi was my dream.” Thank you, Gervasi Vineyard, for making his dream, our dream, of an exceptional celebration come true!
This was not a paid post. My own opinions were used based on my perceptions and experience. Thank you to Gervasi Vineyard for providing overnight accommodations for review.
