Christmas is a great time for teaching our children many things. In a child’s mind they may see this holiday as a time for just getting gifts. It can be hard to explain that there is more. For some people it’s their beliefs but for everyone it’s about love, sharing and compassion.

About The Lollipop Monster’s Christmas
Larry(The Lollipop Monster) is excited about his favorite time of year. He runs around getting everything ready for his friends arrival on Christmas. Everything is great Christmas day until Larry steps out to get wood for the fire and sees smoke in the distance. The smoke leads Larry to a lonely monster attempting to warm himself. Larry introduces himself and talks with his new friends.
Christmas Can Be Sad
Larry asks Walter why he is alone in the woods, Walter explains that he has always been alone on Christmas and that he has no friends or family. Larry decides Walter won’t be alone this year. He invites Walter into his home. Walter starts the journey to figuring out what Christmas is all about.
What is Christmas About?
Walter thinks Christmas must be about lights and decorations. Or maybe it’s about cocoa, songs and presents. It takes him a while to get to the root of what Christmas is really about. Larry explains to Walter that Christmas is about sharing our joy and spirit with others. It’s about celebrating love with our families. Giving is also important and Walter gives the best gift…the gift of friendship.
