As the cooler days of Autumn are ushered in, I decided to to cuddle up with hot chocolate, a blanket, and a good book. This book was Alone Yet Not Alone: Their faith became their freedom, a book provided to me by Zondervan to help facilitate this review.
Alone Yet Not Alone: Their faith became their freedom is Based on a True Story
Alone Yet Not Alone: Their faith became their freedom is set in Autumn as well many years ago in 1755. During this time in the deep mountains of Pennsylvania, the Leininger family faces tragedy as the French-Indian War begins and the raid of Penn’s Creek Massacre affects them all. Their beautiful homestead and bountiful harvest that they celebrated days before is nothing compared to what they are facing now.
This book is a book of a miraculous survival and of extraordinary faith. This God-fearing family is struck in anguish as their two young sisters are carried away with Allegheny warriors. Even in their darkest and most troublesome time, they remain a people of great faith. They knew and held to the truth that God is with each of us, even in our darkest hour.
