I already told you how we poured 800 pounds of concrete on the floor to level where our new kitchen will be. The new layout for our house will put the kitchen and dining room side by side. We finally tore out the rest of the nasty baby blue carpet from the dining room and installed Tarkett’s Laminate from their Cross Country division Seagrass Japanese.

This is not a big ball room or play area (like my kids think), the empty space will be the home of my new kitchen. Until then, my kids are having a blast playing on the new floor. It’s perfect for building cities out of blocks, driving around cars, and doing ballet! They might be disappointed once it is filled with new kitchen cabinets – buy I won’t!

The flooring is beautiful as it is in an open room. I can’t wait to see how it compliments our new kitchen cabinets. I like that we laid the flooring down before picking out cabinets. Now, it sets the mood of the kitchen and we can order cabinets that compliment the floors, as well as the outdoor scenery. We chose the Seagrass Japanese laminate because of natural, earthy feel it has. This product has allowed us to bring the look of the beautiful outdoors into our home.

It has been very easy to keep clean too. WAY better than the carpet that was previously in the two rooms. A quick pass through with my swiffer and it is good to go. It is such a smooth surface that there is no cracks or crevices that dirt and grime can hide in.
