I enjoy shopping – it is no secret. My daughter had to describe her mom during a project last year at school, she said that I was a “fun mom who plays with me, cooks good food for me, and likes to shop at Kohl’s!” So sweet! 🙂

Make a Fashion Statement with Large Hoop Earrings
Another fun Summer fashion trend that anyone can pull off are large hoop earrings. You can find a great assortment at Kohl’s to match any style and outfit. I wear these Jennifer Lopez hoop earrings all the time because they are such a fun accessory – you really don’t need any other accessories with them, although bangle bracelets would look adorable with them!

White Hot Fashion Trend
White is hot this Summer, especially white on white. I do have a pair of Peter Som sateen bermuda shorts that I simply adore but I haven’t been brave enough to dress in white on white for myself or kids quite yet.
If you are headed to the beach this Summer, consider getting a family photograph taken with white tops and khaki shorts – it is the best color combination against the colors of the sand, water and sky at the beach. We didn’t spring for a professional photographer during this trip but I did still make my family dress up for a few photos in our white and khaki shorts.
Don’t the colors look lovely with the beach and ocean? Too bad we were squinting at the sun! I bought all of the above pieces at Kohl’s. Since there are so many choices with necktie detailing, embellishments, fabrics, and asymmetric cuts, we aren’t all matchy-matchy either. I really like that I didn’t have to go from store to store to find coordinating clothes, they were all under one roof at Kohl’s!

On our way back from Myrtle Beach, we stopped by Mayberry as in “The Andy Griffith Show”. It is actually where Andy Griffith grew up, Mount Airy, NC. Many aspects of the show are from his childhood home and they have a replicable police station and tribute to the show. We were even complimented on how well dressed we all looked in our white and khaki from another tourist!
