During his first year, he was young and tiny. A larger Christmas tree befriended him and told him what to expect when Christmas came. The Christmas light were lit, the Christmas music played, and people in warm coats and hats strolled the Christmas tree farm. A family found Alfred’s friend and took him home with them. His friend was happy to be dug up and taken to his new home to enjoy Christmas with his new family. Alfred, small and alone was never picked.
For years, he wasn’t picked as he grew taller and stronger. Each Christmas was a disappointment to him. One Christmas Eve, Alfred didn’t get chosen but he chose his Christmas family! There was a sad looking boy walking through the Christmas tree farm and Alfred knew that it was his job to make this boy happy this Christmas.
