With all of the toy recalls, it is hard to know what is safe for your kids to play with. Are you looking for a non toxic, Eco-Friendly toy that is natural and safe even for babies?  I have found an award winning company called Rubbabu that is this and more. All of their toys are made of natural rubber foam that is safe for kids and Eco-friendly.

Rubbabu makes hand-made natural foam toys including: Bouncy Balls, Games, Action Vehicles, Racers, Cars, Trains, Flying Machines, Building Blox, Playsets, Animals on Wheels, Educational toys, and “other nice things”. All of their toys are made of vivid colors and shapes to intrigue and spark your kid’s imagination.

Rubbabu Education Ball Assortment Review

Let me tell you, my kids were excited when they opened the Rubbabu Education Ball Assortment. Kids love balls, it may very well be the best toy ever invented to get kids moving and having fun.

The colors and softness of the balls is what made the biggest first impression on my kids. My daughter went straight for the bright pink and my son went straight for the dark blue! They have been sharing the rest for fun indoor play.

The balls are covered in a non-toxic plush, velvety material. Being so soft, I don’t mind my kids playing with these balls indoors. They are really easy for kids to grip with the pillowed numbers, letters, and shapes and because of the flexible, yet durable material. It’s one of those toys you just want to squeeze, kinda like a stress ball.

Eco-Friendly, Green, Natural, Safe Kids Toys

Let’s talk a little about the material and what makes this an eco-friendly toy. All  Rubbabu products, including the Education Balls are made of molded natural rubber foam with a nylon surface.  This natural rubber foam is made without cutting down trees.  Natural rubber comes from the sap of the tree which is also bio-degradable and renewable.  All Rubbabu toys are Phthalate Free.

Why is natural rubber so good for kids toys? It is anti-microbial, dust mite resistant, mildew resistant, hypo-allergenic, and flame retardant.

Playing with Rubbabu Educational Balls

I wasn’t really sure if we need 6 balls for my kids to play with. I thought maybe they would just play with one or two. They have never had 6 balls to play with together.

Play with 6 Rubbabu Educational Balls at once is fun!

Playing with multiple balls at once is a whole new, fun-filled challenge! My kids are ages 4 and 6 and usually play well together. With this toy, I’ve seen them each pick them up to play with them alone and also they play with eachother. All goes well until the other kid doesn’t take off with their special pink or dark blue ball that they each claimed!

My kids like to try to hold them all at once or toss them up in the air to see where they will all land, then scramble after them like the pictures below!

Besides all of the fun, there is an educational factor with the Rubbabu Educational Balls. Each ball has either numbers, shapes, or letters  pillowed on all sides of the ball. So, in the midst of playing, it gives parents a natural way to introduce fun learning into play time to toddlers and preschoolers. Don’t think this limits you from giving these toys to babies or even older kids. They are so soft and safe that I am ordering a couple more for my 3 new nephews that are only each a few months old.

Award Winning Rubbabu Educational Ball Assortment

After watching my kids play with these fun balls, there is no wonder for me why it is an award winning product. In fact, many products made by Rubbabu are award-winning. The Educational Ball Assortment won a Parents’ Choice Award and Dr Toy Best Vacation Children’s Products Winner. The awards are based on a comprehensive review on everything from safety, education, durability, fun, value, etc.

It’s interesting that these toys are handmade. I really like the magnetic letters and the triangle blocks are really different!

The other Rubbabu product that I think is the coolest is their tool kit. I know my son would love having a hammer he could bang anywhere he wanted without me telling him to stop 🙂

  12. Andrea Pike says:

I love this Rubbabu contest! Why? Not only can I win a great prize, but I learned a lot about the products and the company. For example, I learned that they have 32 award winning products available to purchase. That is impressive. Maybe even more impressive is that the company itself seems to have excellent workplace considerations regarding health and safety for employees. They even insist on proper ergonomics! That kind of holistic environment is what I as a consumer want to support!
