I remember having a friend with a pogo stick as a kid, I had so much fun playing with it but never had one of my own. I recently was reintroduced to pogo sticks through Flybar, the original pogo stick company that began from the pogo stick inventor, George Hansburg (1918)! I was sent a couple to try out and review and we’ve been jumping for joy ever since!
Pogo sticks are not one-size-fits-all, Flybar offers an amazing selection based on age and weight for kids (and adults).
My daughter was able to check out the Flybar Maverick, built for kids ages 5-9 that weight between 40-80lbs. My daughter loves jumping on the Maverick Pogo Stick! She gets quite competitive, especially while playing with her older brother.
The Maverick is sturdy, well-made, and built for young kids. This pogo stick is sized just right for her, with the right amount of pressure allotted for her weight. She tried her older brother’s pogo stick and didn’t quite have the weight or height for it! I like that Flybar continually innovative products with superior quality with products for every age and performance level.
The foam covered metal frame and handles protects against injuries.
Children should always wear a helmet and protective gear, and use caution while jumping.
Pogo sticks are lots of fun for kids! There really isn’t anything like it. It is a good, old-fashion toy to have around for kids that offer many benefits. It offers inexpensive entertainment (about $50 each), my kids will jump and jump and jump! It gives my kids an outlet to improve their skills and safely be competitive with each other too.
Pogo Sticks offer fun exercise for kids
With childhood obesity affect 1 out of every 3 children in America, offering kids enjoyable ways to exercise should be important to all parents.
Did you know that you can burn 600 calories an hour jumping on a pogo stick? That’s comparable to running or taking an hour long aerobics class – try getting your child to do that! Yea, right!
Pogo sticks make exercise fun!
As we jump, our heart rate goes up and we burn calories. The pogo sticks offers a fun way to jump that is easier on the knees than jumping without a pogo stick! Kids can easily burn calories while strengthening their core muscles, strengthening their leg and buttock muscles, and building strength in their backs.
You can purchase the Flybar Maverick at Toys R Us, Target, Kohl’s, and more as well as on Amazon.com for about $55.
