Recently, we explored all that the new LEGO Store in Beachwood, Ohio has to offer. One of the newest LEGO collections is based on the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. This action-packed movie is a family favorite so we were thrilled to review their new Pirates of the Caribbean LEGO sets for ages 6-12.
LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Review
There are 8 new LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean LEGO sets are for kids ages 6-12. That being said, teens and adults that are Pirates of the Caribbean fans will also enjoy this LEGO collection. My son is 6 and just started building LEGO sets about 6 months ago. He enjoyed putting together these collections, especially since they came with little characters like Jack Sparrow. The characters have managed to explore the whole house, car, and Grandma’s house with and without the rest of the sets.

Each set comes with a very cool looking collectible poster. Elijah’s posters are hanging on his bedroom wall. Each poster also has a secret code that can be used online to unlock video game features.
LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Isla De Muerta on Stranger Tides
The LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Isla De Muerta on Stranger Tides was my son’s favorite but also much challenging. It is the largest set we have ever tried at 152 Pieces. This set is Elijah’s favorite because the ship’s mask rotates back and forth. Plus, it comes with 4 characters,Pirate Lord Hector Barbossa, Elizabeth Swann, Captain Jack Sparrow, and Barbossa skeleton. In this set, you have everything you need to recreate the scene where Captain Jack Sparrow must defeat Barbossa to get control back of the Black Pearl.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Fountain of Youth
The LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Fountain of Youth set is 128 Pieces. It comes with Barbossa, Blackbeard and Jack Sparrow characters. This is a cool set with the spring to eternal life and a fountain that your characters can walk through. Elijah really enjoys building the LEGO sets but his favorite is playing with the characters after they are built. The LEGO characters battle it out to get to the fountain first. Elijah especially likes the gold cups and jewels in this set. All pirates go for treasure, so it is fitting to have treasure!

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean The Captain’s Cabin
The LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean The Captain’s Cabin set is 95 pieces. This is a good set to start off with. It has the Captain Jack Sparrow and 2 random pirates characters. In this set, you have everything for Captain Jack Sparrow to sneak into capture the ship-in-a-bottle. The globe actually spins, so this is a really cool feature too.
