Perplexus 3-D Puzzle Toys Review

My kids love mazes and puzzles. It is the first activity they do when they get a new activity book but they have never had a multidimensional puzzle that they could actually hold before now. Have I got a surprise for them! Perplexus is a 3D puzzle / maze toy where you maneuver a small marble around challenging barriers inside a a clear ball. There are several models for various skill levels and price points.

We were able to review both the Perplexus Rookie for ages 4 and up and the Perplexus Epic for ages 8 and up.

Perplexus Rookie and Perplexus Epic Review

The Perplexus puzzles are not only lots of fun but also good for cognitive development, problem solving, and dexterity skills. Your kids will be developing skills while playing with device. You will too, for that matter!

Perplexus Rookie

The Perplexus Rookie is for ages 4 and up but don’t let that fool you, older kids and adults can still have fun with it. It has 70 different challenging barriers. You’ll be turning and rotating and spinning the transparent sphere to move the marble all around the 3D maze. The goal is to get the marble from start to finish without it falling off the track!

While it is a challenge for younger kids to get through the maze, racing against the clock to complete the maze is a whole other challenge for older kids and adults.

Perplexus Epic

If you are up for a real challenge, check out the Perplexus Epic. This is for ages 8 and up, it’s a challenge even for adults! The large-sized transparent sphere has 125 challenging barriers, some of which move! This adds a whole new level of difficulty to the puzzle. You really need to focus and plan ahead for this puzzle.

This is a great party game to keep on hand for kids and grown ups. Get two to race against each other! Perplexus is not like other mazes where there is one path, there are many paths to choose from with barriers to conquer to get to the finish line. Personally, I have not yet mastered the Perplexus Epic but am having fun trying!
