Shark Week 2018: Family Fun

This week is the 30th anniversary of Shark week! I’m making it fun with my children by grabbing some great shark-themed goodies! Some activities to do, games to play and of course some super cuddly sharks!

Don’t Get Bit

Gather the family around the table for some Shark Week fun playing Sharky’s Diner. Try to haul the junk out of his mouth before it snaps shut! The first player to remove 4 pieces from his mouth wins! It’s a great game for working on hand-eye coordination and patience. I love that this game uses no batteries!

Knot it up!

Grab Alex Brands Knot-a-shark and make a shark tail blanket for this year and future years Shark Weeks! I am sure your kids love these blankets just like mine do. Scarlett and I aren’t quite done with her’s but she is trying really hard to learn how to tie a knot to help mommy. Be warned some hand sewing skills are needed!

Snuggle a Shark

While you are relaxing on the couch watching Shark Week don’t forget to grab one of these awesome Cuddlekins stuffed sharks or Living Ocean stuffed sharks to cuddle with. They double as great pillows for little heads and the kids love chashing each other around with thier shark buddies. They range in size from 8 to 20 inches! Cuddly and cute, plus they don’t bite!

Dig for a Shark Tooth

Thames and Kosmos has the best digging kits! They also have a fossil I DIG IT! A kit that includes a shark tooth! Each of these awesome kits will include a snail, stony coral, snail aggregate, shark tooth, and fossilized resin, and the really awesome tools to excavate them!

Enjoy Shark Week!
