Shred Sled Shox Scooter with Suspension Review

In the world of scooters, the Shred Sled scooters are at the top with innovative (cool) scooters! If you haven’t noticed, scooters are the in thing now. They can be found pretty much everywhere there is blacktop or a sidewalk around Akron.

My 5 year old is just now getting interested in scooters, his Lightening McQueen scooter is way too babyish for him now. When the kids saw Elijah on his new Shred Sled Shox Scooter, they had to check it out because he had “the really GOOD shooter” of the bunch! We were thrilled to receive the Shox Shred Sled Scooter through Team Mom!

Hands On Review of Shred Sled Shox Scooter with Suspension

The Shred Sled Shox Scooter is a very sturdy scooter weighing in at only 7lbs. This is a very portable scooter to take to the park, etc. As a mom, I like the solid construction of the product. For kids, they like the fact that the Shox Scooter is made to allow riders to perform higher, faster, and more awesome tricks!

What makes the Shred Sled Shox Scooter so amazing?

The Shox Scooter is the first ever to have an active shock absorber. The supreme shocks are not like what comes with traditional scooters. The shocks actually can increase a rider’s speed and air-time.

My son is just starting out, so this feature will have to be tested as he learns to ride. The kids in the neighborhood tested it out and said it made 180’s easy! That’s trick talk. Apparently for 180’s you need a good speed and control of the scooter, the Shred Sled Shox Scooter delivers!

Once the rider lands, the shock deck absorbs the impact AND springs back to increase the rider’s control,  maneuverability, and speed.

Did you notice in the above picture the nice deck? Your kid’s foot will not slip on this rough textured surface, which is something moms like. For kids, they love that with the added traction, they can do cooler jumps! yikes!

The Shred Sled Shox Scooter has a sturdy brake. The sturdy brake is important for safety while using a scooter, something Mom’s love. The brake also helps the rider have better control of the scooter, something kids need.

My 5 year old’s take on the Shox Scooter

It didn’t take long for Eijah, my 5 year old to learn how to ride and start performing tricks on his Shred Sled Shox Scooter. Like I said, he tossed his “preschool type scooter” immediately when he received the Shox Scooter. He offered his old scooter to his 3 year old sister because “it’s for young kids and I’m a big kid now”. He is in kindergarten you know! The Shred Sled Shox Scooter is for kids ages 5 and up.

To be honest, when I was given the opportunity to review this “trick scooter” as I call it, I was a bit hesitant. My child is only 5 and does he really need to a good scooter, one that is good for tricks?  Seriously, once he started riding this scooter, I saw his confidence and pride building as he tries to go fast and perform tricks. That’s enough of a reason for me to recommend this product. After reviewing this product, I am fully convinced that buying a good scooter is the only choice for moms that want the best in safety and technology for their kids.

From the first day when we received the scooter until today, all of 2 weeks, he’s doing amazingly well! I can only imagine what kids could do on this scooter if they have already been riding a while! Check out my 5 year old’s “Amazing Stuff” on the video below.

If you are looking for a scooter that is lightweight, yet sturdy, consider Shred Sled Shox Scooter. It is built from lightweight aluminum for speed and portability. Plus, it folds in 1/2 for easy storage and transporting.
