My kids love nature and especially birds. We have a couple bird feeders in our back yard that is always full with many different kinds of birds. We even use a Bird Watching Guide
to learn the names of each bird. So, it was no surprise that my 5 year old daughter loves this book. She is starting to learn to read and the print is large enough for her to pick out the words that she already knows.
Each bird has 2 pages with that includes the bird’s sound playing, a large photo of the featured bird on one side with a natural habitat scene on the other page. In the scene, each object of interest is labeled. For instance, when talking about the crow, the scene includes a labeled scarecrow, sunflowers, and seeds to which crows enjoy. This book gives your child learning opportunities about birds, their habitat, and their sounds.
My daughter’s favorite part is turning the pages to hear the sounds of the next bird. AZ Books did a great job at capturing the interest of kids with this talking animal book. This book is intended for kids ages 3 and up, but with adult supervision, younger toddlers will thoroughly enjoy this nature book.
