Terri Lee is making a come back! In 1940’s and 1950’s, Terri Lee was the world’s best dressed toddler and was adored by girls around the world. The oh-so-detailed attention that was given is what Terri Lee famous for. A lady named Violet Lee Gradwohl created Terri Lee dolls in 1946. The dolls were named after Violet’s daughter but the noted artist (Maxine Stevens) sculpted the original mold of doll after her own daughter, Drienne.
Sorry Barbie, Terri Lee was famous way before you had been ever created.
Terri Lee Dolls Review
As you know, I was given the opportunity to review a beautiful Terri Lee Doll for AkronOhioMoms.com. The Terri Lee doll I have is called “Terri Lee Winter Wonderland”. The doll comes with a beautiful purple hounds-tooth coat, red dress made out of corduroy material, fur hat and white tights. Terri Lee doll is 15″ tall and has long beautiful shiny brown hair. A matching hairbrush is included in the packaging box, you are welcome to brush her hair as often as you wish.
Terri Lee’s packaging is elegant. It comes with a little plastic handle on the top of the box and a see-through plastic in front of its packaging display.
My Terri Lee’s Winter Wonderland LOVES snow. She wrote in her bio that no slow would ever slow her down. She also likes the chilly weather as long as she has her cap and coat, but dislikes when her sister gets more marshmallows in her hot cocoa than her.
The clothes and accessories that my Terri Lee doll came with are detachable. There are many accessories and clothes for Terri Lee when you are ready to dress her up for a fashion show. Fun hats, cute shoes, clothes, and coats .. you name it.
Before we get to the end of this post, I would like to show you how a Terri Lee Doll’s size is compared to a regular sized pie pumpkin.
Terri Lee is a perfect doll gift for little girls. Terri Lee deserves a spot in a little girl’s heart and will bring a smile on a girl’s face. And the price is great. They are all priced at $39.99 per doll. I think the price is pretty reasonable compared to what’s out there, i.e. American Girls.

When I did some research on Terri Lee dolls, I was surprised to see how much the earlier generation Terri Lee dolls were priced for online. Because of the quality and how beautiful these dolls are, Terri Lee dolls collectors are still hunting for the vintage collectible items of Terri Lee dolls.
