We were so anxious to tear our the kitchen cabinets and get them to the curb for trash pick up that I emptied all of our kitchen drawers into a box. I figured that I would have to re-organize everything in the new kitchen anyway, but what a mess!
When creating your kitchen layout, be sure to include enough drawers and in the right places. We have various size drawers in the kitchen, some hold large items like our skillets and pans, others are traditional drawers of various widths. We have 5 traditional drawers in our new kitchen to hold items like silverware. Located at various spots in our kitchen, I have chosen which items are best suited for each.
All of the above utensils are now organized and located in 4 of those drawers. The Serving Utensils Drawer is the located the closet to the dining room. It is the perfect size since I don’t have or need many serving utensils. It is the perfect location because I can grab the serving utensil that I need on the way to the dining room. Plus, it is close because I always forget at least one spoon, don’t you? 🙂

The majority of my utensils are located on the main wall of the kitchen in the Cooking and Baking Utensils Drawers. I have them organized by prep and cooking tools. So far, they are relatively organized, right? 🙂

The Silverware Drawer is located next to the sink and dishwasher. It is the perfect size for our The Container Store Bamboo Cutlery Tray.

Everything has a spot in my new kitchen, I’m super thrilled to be so organized! Designing a kitchen with enough drawers is essential. I don’t think you can ever have too many drawers but can always not have enough! I’ve lived in too many kitchens with too few drawers.
What I love about CliqStudios drawers is that they are sturdy and they offer a soft close. You don’t have to hear another slamming drawer again with CliqStudios drawers. This upgrade comes standard with CliqStudios, something you would pay dearly for elsewhere. The undermount drawer glide is what makes the soft close feature.
Stay tuned to hear about other cool features that my CliqStudios cabinets are spoiling me with.
