What We Discovered Under Our Carpet

While my son was doing homework last night, we discovered a new home remodel project. If you are a homeowner or remodeling your home, you know that nothing is ever easy and that surprises shouldn’t really surprise you at all.

We recently picked out STAINMASTER Carpet at Lowe’s and are anxiously awaiting the installation. However, while my son was thumping him foot on the living room floor, it sounded different in one spot. Oh no! It is suppose to be a concrete floor since we are on a slab – what is underneath?

Watch the video below to find out!

So, what we discovered under our carpet is that part of the flooring underneath is the same disgusting tile flooring that was in our kitchen before the kitchen remodel. I’m so thankful that we discovered that the flooring is not the same throughout the living room before the carpet installation day!  Now, we will have to rip up the carpet early to get rid of the tile flooring under this section of the living room. Yes! Another home remodel project to add to our list. Ha!  It could have been worse, it could have been rotting wood or something.

So, our total home remodel project continues…

I can’t wait until the living room floor is beautiful and plush with STAINMASTER carpet!

This was not a paid post. My own opinions were used based on my perceptions and experience. Thank you to Lowe’s and STAINMASTER for their ongoing relationship with AkronOhioMoms.com. Check out the great selection of products at www.Stainmaster.com and www.Lowes.com.
