When choosing a family vacation destination, the location is key. St. Augustine offers fun for the entire family. I was so impressed at how clean the beach is and clear the water is at this beach. I love that the water was so gradual that you could walk far into the surf without falling into deep spots. The water is warm and enjoyable to relax and have so much fun in. Beacher’s Lodge is located right on the beach with a beautiful boardwalk that steps over the sand dunes.

We woke up every morning to watch the sunrise during our visit. It was so nice to enjoy this natural wonder while eating breakfast on our balcony. We spent a lot of time on the balcony, just enjoying the view of the ocean, the sound of the ocean and the ocean breeze throughout the day and night. 
Every room at Beacher’s Lodge is decorated differently as it is a condo hotel. Most are in a beach theme. Our accommodations included a spacious bedroom facing the opposite side of the ocean. This room has a king-size bed with full-size dresser and flat-screen TV. It has a chair and a private entrance into the bathroom through the closet area.

All suites at Beacher’s Lodge include a kitchenette or full size kitchen. This is so nice when you are traveling with children. We stopped by the nearby Publix to load up on drinks, snacks, breakfast food, and lunch food. Cooking in the room allowed us to spend more time at the beach!
In the living room, there is a full-size leather couch and armchair. Located on the right of the below pictures, you’ll see a wall of cabinets. One set is cabinetry to store belongings but the rest is a queen-size bed! This murphy bed pulls down effortlessly to make this living room into a second bedroom at night.
All rooms include free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and pull-out sofas or wall beds. As you can see, this is a spacious living area for families. Having extra space while on vacation with kids is so important for the quality of vacation – you’ll be making memories together in all the good ways instead of being crowded into a standard hotel!
Beacher’s Lodge is a laid-back condo style hotel that is perfect for families that want to enjoy ocean time without all the packed beach crowds as well as the conveniences of kitchenettes or even full kitchens. We always had fresh fruit cut up for snacks and with meals. 
Our kitchen had cutting boards, dishes, pots, pans, silverware – everything a family needs to prepare meals during your stay. We picked up the basics including some frozen family-size meals, salads, juice, and fruit for quick and easy meals when we popped in from the ocean or from our many outings. It was a great way to sit around the table and talk about what we were enjoying most and looking forward to in the trip. Eating together at the dinner table has been so important to my family both at home and on vacation to connect with one another.
This suite has a beautiful tiled bathroom floor to ceiling including a walk-in shower. There is an entrance from the master bedroom and kitchen. It is supplied with towels, shampoo, soap, etc as a traditional hotel.
St. Augustine Beach Hotel with Oceanfront Pool
The oceanfront pool is a welcome retreat for all. We enjoyed relaxing and playing in the pool when we didn’t have time to run to the beach! It is heated, so if you visit outside of Summer, it’ll still be nice. What makes St. Augustine a perfect destination year-round is their weather, it’s still warm and gorgeous in Florida when it’s cold and blustery in Ohio! With new flights opening up from Columbus airport direct to St. Augustine, it’s a great destination even for an extended weekend! Other options from Cleveland or Akron-Canton Airport to Jacksonville, FL are also great options.

St. Augustine Beach Hotel with Oceanfront
You can’t get closer to the best beach vacation than here. It has everything. 
We have quite the set-up with umbrellas, chairs, and boogie boards. It’s hot in August, so having extra shade is nice!
We had so much time at the beach and in the ocean. Even though my teens liked to swim a little further out into the waves than I’m comfortable with, we all had a great time! The water was so warm and inviting. The waves were gentle compared to other places we’ve visited, making it great for even families with younger kids.
The sand is white and fluffy past where high tide is but is more firm along the shore, making it so easy to walk along, play volleyball, pass a football, and fly a kite.
The beach in front of Beacher’s Lodge is so gorgeous that I recommend taking plenty of family pictures yourself or with a professional photographer like we did.
It’s a gorgeous beach!
The sand dunes are also beautiful and protected for sea turtles and the natural landscape.
As you can see, they make a beautiful backdrop to photos.
After a day at the beach, there are a couple of outdoor showers to wash off the sand!
