Virginia Beach Pirate Ghost Ride Review
Virginia Beach Pirate Ghost Ride is an actual ride that winds through various pirate and ghost scenes that will spook you without being too scarey. My kids are 5 and 7 years old and both enjoyed the Pirate Ghost Ride. That being said, my 5 year old lassie did have me cover her eyes and hold her close about 1/2 way through. My lad was visibly scared afterwards but more so excited that he went on it.

The Pirate Ghost Ride in Virgina Beach, VA takes you 2 by 2 in a ‘shaking boat’ cart through the winding path of pirate scenes, pitch black paths, and animatronic scenes. There are a few ghosts or pirates that ‘jump’ out to startle their unsuspecting victims, enough to make me jump back! My lassie’s eyes were closed as I held her close against me at this point!

There were several shaking pirates that seem to have met their death after they got too close to the treasure for their own good! My favorite scene was as we entered the Bermuda triangle. To exit the scene, you are drawn in by the gigantic octopus that eats you as he is shaking another pirate with his long tentacles! At the end, each Buccaneer enjoyed a little treasure in the end with gold bead necklaces!
