Finding the perfect lodging for families while on vacation can be difficult.
I remember when my kids were young, we would have to go to bed when they did at 8pm when on vacation. When it was their bedtime, we would have to have lights out and TV off.
Now that they are school age, everything changes again. They won’t share a bed anymore and they typically don’t want to watch the same thing on TV during down time either.
The one place that we’ve all been happy with in the past is Embassy Suites. My kids still talk about our 4th of July stay at Embassy Suites in Cleveland several years ago! Staying at Embassy Suites is great for families – a win-win for parents and kids.
I received accommodations and a promotional item to facilitate this post.
Spacious Accommodations at Embassy Suites
We love the large, spacious suites at Embassy Suites. There is always a separate living area and bedroom with a door in between.
During our trip to Williamsburg, Virginia, we stayed at the Embassy Suites Williamsburg. It is at the heart of Colonial Williamsburg, perfect for those visiting Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, and Jamestown.
We enjoyed the suite very much. We had plenty of space to hang out without tripping over suitcases and getting into each others space like other hotels.

Family Friendly Amenities
My kids could watch whatever they wanted on 2 different TVS – one in the living area and one in the sleeping area.
As a parent, I liked that there was a fridge and microwave for snacks. There was a small table, sofa, and chair in the living room – plenty of room for all of us to recharge after a day at Colonial Williambsburg.
The beds were super comfortable with large, plush pillows too. Our suite came with 2 beds, plus the pull out sleeper sofa. I liked that we were able to close the door between the sleeping area and living area. It allowed my husband and I to stay up later while my kids slept, plus it made it perfectly silent even when we went to bed early and there were still people out an about in the halls.
Food Made Easy at Embassy Suites
Dining while traveling is always a big deal. As a mom, I really appreciate all the food at Embassy Suites. In the morning, we enjoyed a made-to-order breakfast with omelets anyway you like them. There was also a hot bar with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, and more. You could also choose breads, muffins, yogurts, and cold cereals. There is no reason anyone can go hungry here – even if you have a picky eater in your family!
Plus, in the evening, we enjoyed a complimentary evening reception with appetizers and beverages. While we were there, we had fresh veggies with multiple kinds of dips, chips, and a trail mix to choose from. It made a perfect snack after we got back from our outing before heading out for dinner.
Fun Made Easy
My kids couldn’t wait to get back to the hotel each evening to swim in the pool and hang out in our suite. The pool was the perfect place to unwind and have fun. There was even a whirlpool, perfect for relaxing tired muscles from a full day out. Every time we were in the pool, my kids made new friends and had such a fun time playing! Nothing is better than hearing your kids laugh and see them have fun!
It was fun playing Marco Polo with new friends I made in the pool. They were from Canada!
Plus, there is free wi-fi throughout the hotel, so we could get online in our room or pool side.
Embassy Suites even offers late checkout for those recuperating from the busy day ahead!
When you plan your Summer vacation this year, consider the benefits of Embassy Suites for your family lodging.
