Once a year, NE Alabama is turned into a 690 mile shopping trip for treasure hunters! Along the route, you’ll find everything under the Alabama sun including antiques, collectibles, furniture, and dishwares as well as fresh local produce and homemade jams and jellies. There are also plenty of food vendors and live entertainment from Gadsden, Alabama, along the Lookout Mountain Parkway through DeKalb County and into Chattanooga, Tenn. There will be more than 1,000 vendors in Alabama alone – all running 8am until late each evening.
I said bring your girlfriends but this can easily be added to a family road trip to Alabama. There is plenty of sightseeing to do along this route – so it doesn’t have to be 24/7 yard sales during this 4 day stretch by any means! The scenic 93 mile Lookout Mountain Parkway alone is such an adventure and perfect for road tripping! This parkway has been touted “A Must See” by Reader’s Digest, the National Geographic, and Southern Living magazines, providing a beautiful backdrop to the thousands of roadside sales.
