Our family just recently returned from a weekend getaway to Pittsburgh, while there we chose to stay at the Red Roof Plus hotel. Yes, Red Roof, as in, Red Roof Inn. My previous experience with Red Roof wasn’t anything spectacular, however, Red Roof Plus is a completely different experience.
My girls had never stayed in a hotel before so this was a fun experience for them. Red Roof Inn has recently renovated some of their locations to Red Roof Plus. The Red Roof Plus experience is more of a boutique hotel experience, rather than a discounted hotel like you may expect from the prices!

Be Wowed with the Red Roof Plus Experience
Red Roof Plus is a no brainer for families looking to save money and still have a comfortable and beautiful room. When we arrived, our check-in was fast and the staff were very friendly. Going into our room we were surprised at the quality of the bedding, as well as the nice wood flooring and area rugs. The features of the room included free coffee, granite countertops for the bathroom vanity, dark wood throughout, a 37 inch flat screen tv, and a mini-fridge that included a complimentary snack box!
We stayed in a Premium Room with 2 Full Beds, with a price point of $90, this room is a steal! My favorite part of it was the complimentary snack box. After walking around Pittsburgh for most of the day before check-in, having a snack available for my kids before leaving to go to dinner later that evening was awesome! None of the rooms at Red Roof Plus are over $100, for a family of 4 like mine, it’s a steal to find a hotel with the space and comfort for that price. Our experience was nothing but positive.
The staff was helpful and friendly, willing to help us with anything. Whether we needed the best directions to get to our next activity or needed some change for the vending machines for a late night snack, they were great.
