I was attending a blogging conference at McCormick Place, so the skywalk from Hyatt Regency to McCormick Place is what initially sold me on this location. I received a promotional rate for this review.

My Stay at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place

I was thrilled to stay in one of the presidential suites at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. It was an amazing space with a large living space with sofas and chairs with modern contemporary decor. Presidential-Suite-Hyatt-McCormick

The space was divided in the center with flat screen TVs on both sides of the living area and bedroom area. The color pallet used was chic and fabulous with pops of accent colors here and there. I would love to mimic this style in my master bedroom suite. Hyatt-McCormick-bed

The spacious bathroom came fully loaded with everything you need including upgraded bath amenities, including KenetMD Skin Care products. The lighting was amazing, perfect for getting ready any time of day. The contemporary style was so inviting and modern, just check out the vanity! There were plenty of fresh towels too.

The entire hotel was spotless from top to bottom in both public spaces and the hotel rooms, something that is very important to me and females in general!Hyatt-McCormick-Bathroom

The room also included a gigantic walk in closet with plenty of rack space and shelves for my entire closet at home! It also had an ironing board and iron with plenty of room in the closet to tend to your clothing.

What I couldn’t get over was the amazing views. I could just stare outside the windows for hours. From my room, you could see sweeping views of downtown Chicago, Lake Michigan, and the Museum Campus. It was out of this world!view-from-Hyatt-McCormick-daytime

At night time, the city comes to life with brilliant lights. It was remarkable. I didn’t even want to pull the heavy shades because I wanted to enjoy the view – however, the sunset in the morning made me thankful for the thick, darkening shades.Hyatt-McCormick-nighttime-view

Throughout the hotel, you’ll notice advanced features like the touch-green guide below. It provides all sorts of information, including a map of the hotel, conference rooms, skywalk, and more. hotel-touch-screen

If you are visiting the McCormick Place, staying at the Hyatt is a no-brainer. The enclosed skywalk takes you right to the McCormick Place. I found this very helpful. I didn’t have to drive, park, or take a cab – saving me plenty of time, money, and frustration.

Shor Chicago Grill at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place

For breakfast each morning, I enjoyed dining at the Shor Chicago Grill. They offer a delicious menu from breakfast to dinner. SHOR-sign

For breakfast, you can choose from a large buffet with meats, breakfast dishes, fresh fruits, bakery, and even a made-to-order omelet station. Hyatt-McCormick-service Hyatt-McCormick-breakfast-buffet-fruit Hyatt-McCormick-breakfast-buffet-hot

One of my favorite buffet items was the blackberry and peaches stuffed French toast – it was heavenly!Fruity-French-Toast

One morning, I ordered the blackberry pancakes to my utter and complete delight. They were so divine.Hyatt-McCormick-pancakes

The decor of the restaurant is quite modern and contemporary, adding to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Cindy-Orley-Shor-Restaurant-Hyatt-McCormick

Although I wasn’t able to make it back for dinner, they do offer a menu to satisfy all with grilled steaks, chops, seafood, poultry, and pasta.

Hyatt has it all…

In addition to the Shor, Hyatt also offers Forno Italian Trattoria for dine in or carry out, and the Mx Lounge for drinks. They also offer an indoor pool and a 24 hour health club. If you every forget something, Hyatt has you covered with cell phone chargers, curling irons, razors, make up remover, steamers, and more.

I was very impressed with the staff as well, they were very professional, helpful, and kind from the front desk to the garage attendants. I felt very welcomed throughout my stay.
