Crown Reef Water Park Resort is the only oceanfront water park in Myrtle Beach. This year-round destination is fun for the entire family with an indoor splash park, a tube slide, body slide, as well as many outdoor pools, a lazy river, whirlpools, kiddie pool, and indoor pool. Crown Reef Water Park Resort has it all, including over 500 oceanfront suites, a gorgeous beach, on site dining, arcade, and more.
I received accommodations to facilitate this post. Opinions are my own.
You can’t miss the huge slides swirling off the side of Crown Reef Water Park Resort! These tube slides are 38 feet up the hotel, facing the ocean. The Explosion Tube Slide is our favorite! Pick up a one or two-person tube and rush down the giant water slide that stretches 278 feet long. My son and I couldn’t get enough of this tube slide, it is so much fun to ride together on a double tube. My mom and niece loved it like crazy too! Kids must be at least 42″ to ride this slide.
The Twister Body Slide shoots you down a 302 foot long slide in 800 gallons of water per minute! Enjoy all the twists and turns that make this water slide breathtaking and exhilarating! Both my older nephews and my younger nephew couldn’t get enough of this water slide. It was nice to see everyone playing together, despite the age differences.
There is even a 20 foot long slide for the little ones that starts at the top of Salty’s Splash House. It is a quick way for kids to get the thrill of a slide without climbing flights of stairs. It is also a perfect way for little ones to go down a slide with a parent.
Salty’s Splash House is a ton of fun for kids and their families, featuring giant dump buckets, a twister slide, silly sub, and plenty of opportunities to squirt, splash, and get wet!
Open year round, this indoor/outdoor water park is a huge hit for families visiting Myrtle Beach any time of year.
We loved the giant mushroom/umbrella of water that streamed down on us!
Nothing is more exciting than squirting people below too! My daughter could hang out here for hours! Literally, hours. She manned her post like she owned it. ha!
The silly sub is a fun place for little ones to explore and pretend to be on an under water adventure. I love that the water park is a fun place for kids to play in the water without being in the sun. It is a great escape from the heat throughout the day, without stopping the fun!
Enjoy the 3-story sundeck located off of the water slides area to soak up some rays with outstanding views of the Atlantic ocean, pier, and beach.
The fun doesn’t stop with the water slides, it is just the start at this ocean front water park resort! During warm months, enjoy all the pools, whirlpools, and the lazy river at Crown Reef as well. There are 3 large, sprawling pools that weave around palm trees, under bridges, and even inside a poolside sundeck with plenty of beach chairs, refreshments, and live music surround the pools.
Our oceanfront suites were located in tower 1, which overlooked this bridge swimming pool. About 1/2 way through the afternoon and into the evening, there was plenty of shade to keep the heat down and sunburns away too!
If you want to get out of the sun for a while, relax and swim under a covered roof area of the same pool pictured above. The pools just go on and on and on at Crown Reef. They are never crowded because there are so many large, sprawling pools.
There is a baby pool and splash area enclosed and out of the heat of the day for little ones too. There is a large indoor pool open year-round for more swimming fun.
Don’t forget the Lazy River! We love the winding, sprawling 575 foot lazy river. We actually got 8 out of the 12 of us in the below shot! Oh, we had SO much fun! Just look at this crew!
The lazy river winds all through the middle section of the resort, inside and outside, under bridges, and by the tiki bar.
I can’t count the number of times we went around on the tubes. It was an event that all of us, from the grandparents to the young kids and even my 7 months pregnant sister could enjoy. It is the perfect way to relax and be silly together.
There are many whirlpools of various sizes both indoors and outdoors. All whirlpools outside are shaded, so you can relax out of the sun. We took over this whirlpool for a little relaxation and fun.
There are larger whirlpools for more socializing and hanging out.
Swimming in the pools and going down water slides next to the beach and ocean is unbelievable. There is nothing like it. It is a tropical paradise. The pools, whirlpools, and sundecks are immaculate at all times. The resort staff is helpful and kind. When we were at Crown Reef Water Park Resort, we were a million miles from life’s responsibilities and work. We were enjoying a slice of paradise as a family – jumping from one fun attraction to another.
This is what I call quality family time. Swimming and having fun with parents, grandparents, cousins, nieces, nephews, and my kids was more than I could have ever imagined. The memories we made during our stay will last a lifetime – as will all of the stories!
