Doug, the kids and I recently spent a weekend in Pittsburgh and we enjoyed it so much we are going to head back to share more wonderful places with you. On this trip we stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Downtown. It was perfect for our clan!

Short trips or Extended Stay
While we were only staying for 2 nights, I’m so glad we were at the Homewood Suites by Hilton. We had plenty of room so we were not on top of each other. Since the rooms here are made for extended stay so they each have ample space and a full kitchen. The full kitchen in the room made our stay less stressful and helped us save money on food! Their rooms are great for short trips and for long ones.
Homewood Suites Room Options
We had a two room suite. One room with a king size bed and the other with two queens, I loved the small living space between the rooms. Your other option is a single room suite which also has it’s own separate living space. Both room options come with the fully equipped kitchen that includes a full-size refrigerator, two-burner stove, microwave and dishwasher.
They were also more than willing to bring us a crib or high chair for Octavia! The shower in one of our bedrooms was a roll in shower for wheel chair accessibility.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Amenities
Homewood Suites by Hilton makes you feel right at home with wonderful amenities. They offer a full hot breakfast in the morning that is most appreciated by moms! There is a waffle making station and loads of breakfast options. The staff was so wonderful they even asked us if we needed anything special for the little two. When I brought up food allergies they were quick to help make sure foods were safe.
They also offer free internet access, a few workstations, a gym, and a heated indoor pool. There is a small snack station in the lobby where you can buy snacks, drinks and more. There are also evening socials on Mon-Thurs (listed on the calendar in your suite on the fridge.). Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 11am.
Getting Around Homewood Suites by Hilton in Pittsburgh
To park at the Homewood Suites by Hilton, pull around the side of the building and up to the valet, at $22 a night it’s pretty reasonable and you have serivce to bring it around 24 hours a day. No charges to exit and re-enter.
YOu can also take a shuttle to a few of the local attractions near by.
