You can’t go to Florida without visiting an alligator farm. The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park is one of Florida’s oldest continuously running attractions since 1893. They know what travelers and locals want – opportunities to see alligators in many ways! Not only do they have live alligator feedings and training demos but you can walk about the swamp bridge and feed them yourself!

Yes, you can feed the Alligators at St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park and it’s so much fun! Be sure to bring plenty of quarters with you to purchase alligator kibble to throw over to the alligators. When we started walking on the wooden pathway, we were just so excited to see so many alligators! Then my daughter spotted the kibble machines and started throwing it into the water. Before the alligators were sleepy and motionless but as soon as Elizabeth started feeding them, they came to life!

This was just a really fun surprise we had at the alligator farm! We never thought we would feed an alligator!

As I said, St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park is more than a Florida alligator farm, it is also home to many other animals, including the crocodiles shown below.
St. Augustine Alligator FarmAll of the enclosures and throughout the zoo, it’s just gorgeous with lush Florida vegetation too. It is a well-cared-for zoo that is a joy to walk through. St. Augustine Alligator FarmThe lemur exhibit was one of our favorites. I’ve never seen more active lemurs at any zoo we’ve visited. They were very playful and seemed very happy in their habitat. If you have a Galapagos Tortoise fan, you’ll want to check out that encounter too where you can feel what a 100-year old tortoises sheel feels like! Take your own pictures of upgrade to the photo experience. They even have an upclose encounter with a saltwater crocodile where you can join the zookeeper on teh feeding platform to get an up-close view of a feeding session!St. Augustine zoo and Alligator FarmAs birders, we were thrilled to see so many native Florida birds that call the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park home. The zoo provides the perfect habitat for these birds so they naturally come to the zoo to nest while we can get a wonderful view of them! birding in St. Augustine Alligator FarmYou’ll also find exotic birds from around the globe in enclosures. The zoo is also home to sloths, saltie reptiles, and other Florida native reptiles.

St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park is also home to Crocodile Crossing, a zipline adventure that allows you to zip the zoo.
