Salt Life Food Shack St. Augustine Review
Salt Life Food Shack in St. Augustine is a really fun place for lunch and dinner! Whether you dine in the open-air beachfront dining on the patio, up on the deck, or inside, you’ll enjoy the lively and fun atmosphere. This family-friendly restaurant has is sure to please any palate with seafood, sushi, burgers, chicken, drinks, and desserts. They even have a gluten free menu.
During our visit, we dined with a group of 19 people. Even with such a crowd, we had excellent, friendly service. At Salt Life, everyone seems relaxed and happy to be there (guests and employees alike) but your service won’t suffer.
They are known for their authentic street tacos, so I just had to try the Asian shredded beef and fried grouper tacos. They were delicious and served topped with Ensenada slaw, pico de gallo and Mexican cheese. Yum!
They are also known for the fried shrimp, which my son eagerly ordered and devoured but not before I snagged a bite. The shrimp is delicious with an amazing light, seasoned breading. The meal is complete with fries and Shack sauce for dipping.
I like that Salt Life also has a great assortment of non-seafood dishes too since not all of us love seafood. My daughter ordered a hearty Beach Burger with all the toppings and hand-cut fries. You won’t be disappointed with your choice to visit Salt Life. This casual, trendy open-air beachfront dining experience is not one you will soon forget. Salt Life is located north of St. Augustine Beach, near St. Johns County Ocean Pier.
