My family enjoys visiting The Boardwalk every time we visit Put-in-Bay. Choose from several dining options including the Main Deck where it is super casual with 3 concession stands, great views, and live music.
This time, we dined at the Upper Deck. 
The Upper Deck is a welcome treat for lunch or dinner at Put-in-Bay. It was especially welcoming when we visited during a nearly 90 degree day! We dined inside the nautical themed, air conditioned dining room. The dining room is beautiful, as is the view of the harbor from the floor to ceiling windows that surround the restaurant. 
The Boardwalk has food for every taste including filets, burgers, pastas, sandwiches, seafood, salads, and more. My favorite is the Maine Lobster Roll which is loaded with fresh lobster!
My daughter ordered Lake Erie Perch and loved it. They also serve Lake Erie Walleye which is a favorite. Alaskan King Crab is also a Put-in-Bay favorite. 
You cannot go to Put-in-Bay without a bowl of their Famous Lobster Bisque. I even pick up an order on the main deck to-go for home. Getting away to Put-in-Bay really feels like your on vacation at the ocean, enjoying freshly prepared seafood at The Boardwalk drives home that feeling.
My husband enjoyed something new too – seaweed salad! We all had to sample it and were surprised at how tasty it was. We love having new experiences together as a family and trying new foods. 
My son and his buddy shared an order of shrimp, fries and slaw. 
They also each ordered a crab cake on the side. I love how adventurous our kids are in trying new foods. Alas, there is a great kids meal option as well that has kid-favorites as well.
I consider The Boardwalk “family fine dining” because it is a nicer restaurant but is still family friendly and welcoming to kids. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed but more than a cafe. It’s the perfect place to celebrate something special or just enjoy a good meal together on the island.
They also have amazing burgers like this mushroom Swiss burger.
The Boardwalk is celebrating 10 years this year. Each year that we visit, we continue to be impressed by the food, atmosphere, and friendly service. 
The Upper Deck is one of the only waterfront dining options at Put-in-Bay. Make sure to stop by for lunch or dinner on your next island adventure. 
You can even enjoy table-side service on the Upper Deck outside for stunning views.
