My friends and I decided to head south to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for Spring Break where we visited Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.
One of my passions has always been the natural world—specifically what lives underwater. Ever since I was eleven, I’ve been an entrepreneur in the world of biology, breeding geckos and propagating aquatic plants. While I’ve mastered freshwater setups, this past Christmas I received my first saltwater aquarium and have been hooked ever since. I’ve been carefully acquiring corals and learning the delicate chemistry of a reef tank ever since.

So, visiting Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies wasn’t just a fun stop; it was a research mission! One of my buddies is also starting his own saltwater journey, so we spent hours analyzing the setups. Trust me, whether you have an aquarium or not, this place is fascinating and a must-see when visiting Gatlinburg, TN.
