***No Longer In Business***
While vacationing, my family likes to try the local food and fare. Oftentimes that means seafood while on the ocean. Sometimes, it means enjoying the best of the best only offered there. Introducing Pi-zzeria, the newest pizzeria in town! Be sure to add this family-friendly restaurant to your Virginia Beach vacation itinerary for old world pizza in a trendy new restaurant. Conveniently located on the main Virginia Beach oceanfront scene, it is central to everything and everyone is sure to enjoy the delicious menu of items.

They offer a full menu of pizzas with dough made daily from scratch and then baked in Virginia Beach’s only rotating brick-stone oven. The oven bakes perfectly and evening every time, giving you the best tasting pizza experience ever.

The pi in Pi-zzeria lets you know that they are all things pizza in Virginia Beach, offering the best pizza in Virginia Beach hands down. In addition to pizza, they also offer salads, pasta, antipasto, paninis, cal-zones, kids menu, and a variety of desserts and drinks.
This is the perfect place for dinner as a couple or family with seating both indoors and outdoors. The brick stone oven is behind glass so you can watch pizzas being made from the street or the restaurant. We decided to sit outside in the Milanese inspired trattoria to enjoy the fresh ocean breezes and the sights of the oceanfront tourist hussle and bussle. The patio was surrounded by flower boxes and lively music.
On a hot summer day, nothing beats a smoothie. Our family enjoyed strawberry, raspberry, and pina collta smoothies as a welcomed treat. They must be known for them because many of the surrounding tables were enjoying smoothies too! Either that or our waiter, Jon was a great salesperson. They were delicious and our kids liked the whipped cream and cherry on top.
While we waited, our kids had fun playing with the provided pizza dough. They even made pizza dough jewelry for mom to wear.
My family enjoys trying new foods every where we go. The best way to experience a new restaurant is to ask what is their top seller and what the locals like. Pizzeria has several key specialty pizzas that are marked on their menu as the locals’ favorites. Since they are known for their pizza, we knew we that would be on the menu tonight. Local favorites include Barbecued Chicken, Caesar Salad Pizza, and Gorgonzola.
We knew right away that the Gorgonzola would be the favorite for the parents! The Gorgonzola pizza is topped with artichokes, spinach, Roma tomatoes, pine nuts, red onions, chicken and Gorgonzola cheese with a thin crust. When Jon brought us the pizza, I don’t know what was most impressive, the smell or appearance. Both alerted our senses that this was going to be a great pizza! The crust was thin and crisp on the ends, very tasty. The flavor combination was perfect with generous portions of all the toppings. The chicken was grilled to perfection. My favorite part was biting down into juicy Roma tomatoes, although the stronger taste of Gorgonzola cheese really made the pizza!
For our kids, we ordered a bacon pizza. They enjoyed it immensely as they love bacon and there was a ton of crumbled bacon on the pizza.
For dessert, we brought home a couple home made chocolate chip filled cannoli. After traveling in my bag to the hotel, the drizzled chocolate on top wasn’t picture-worthy but the treat was definitely welcomed at snack time! The addition of chocolate chips in the cannoli was a surprise and perfect addition.
The Pizzeria is a nice, sit-down pizza restaurant that offers a full menu to more than satisfy any taste.
