St. Augustine Seafood Co. is at the heart of downtown and just a 3-minute walk from Castillo de San Marcos. This is a very family-friendly location with an authentic Florida atmosphere whether you dine inside or outside. We enjoyed the shaded and breezy outdoor seating during our visit. 
The service was fast and friendly. We had spent the afternoon walking downtown, seeing the sights, and were thirsty! Our server kept our drinks full and cold, which we very much appreciated!
The St. Augustine Seafood Co. has a limited menu but what’s on it is their specialties! They are known for their fresh fish sandwiches with crispy fries, chowders, and fried shrimp baskets.
The fish of the day was mahi mahi; between the four of us, 2 had the fish sandwiches and 2 of us had it grilled as an entree – we were all very pleased! There is nothing like well-prepared fresh fish in Florida and this restaurant does it right – even for people that don’t normally like fish. 
Their fresh cucumber and tomato salad was delicious too. 
What makes this restaurant special is their commitment to fresh seafood. They work with local fishermen and fish markets to provide only the highest quality seafood direct from the boats and prepared for you. You can’t get fresher than that!
