LifeCenter Plus Health and Fitness Center is hosting a 2-day workshop by Jim Beeson, an Adaptive Aquatics Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Trainer this weekend, Friday, February 18 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, February 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
If you are a Red Cross Certified Aquatics Instructor, come learn Beeson’s hands-on techniques for teaching swimming skills to kids with autism to adults with disabilities and age-related challenges. People with disabilities, especially kids, gain many benefits from working an aquatics program designed for their individual challenges. These benefits include better coordination, strength, stamina, self-confidence, overall health and even increased social skills.
The Adaptive Aquatics Workshop will take place in LifeCenter Plus’ large indoor warm water therapy pool and resistance river.
