We had a fantastic girls night out with friends at the Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival last weekend. This show had something for everyone with music styles including hip hop, swing, reggae, rock, country, and even the traditional Disney themed songs.
During the show, Mickey and Minnie emceed and joined in the singing and Minnie even caught Mickey dancing a few times!
My daughter invited her good friend from school as well as her younger sister and mom to join us. One thing that I can’t emphasis enough is to take your children to a live show, you won’t believe how much they will enjoy it. I’ve taken my kids since they were toddlers and at every age, they enjoy it as a brand new experience. Elizabeth’s friend’s sister was not even 2 years old and she sang and danced the entire time. You may be very surprised at the attention span of a toddler when Mickey, Minnie, singing and dancing is involved! Plus, it adds to the fun when you go with friends or cousins!
During the show, we were given mini-performances from some of our favorite Disney stories including The Little Mermaid and Aladdin.
Other favorite Disney Stars joined Mickey’s Music Festival too with fantastic songs and mini-skits, especially all of our Toy Story favorites. Personally, the Toy Story characters were my favorite!
When Buzz Lightyear was introduced, he blasted away space balls that then flew into the crowd! The huge balls were a hit with the audience on the floor level.
During the final act, all of the characters, including Mickey and Minnie Mouse sang and dance together.
It was an exciting number made even better with falling confetti!
If you get the chance to see Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival or any Disney Live! production, do your family a favor and buy tickets! I guarantee that it will be an exciting time with lasting memories.
