My daughter and I joined AOM blogger Beth and her girls for an exciting night at Disney On Ice Rockin’ Ever After in Cleveland over the weekend. We had a fantastic time and I wanted to share a little with you in case you are still deciding to go! The show is still going on in Cleveland January 17-21st, so there is still plenty of time to get tickets.
We’ve been to Disney on Ice shows for several years now and what amazes me the most is that every show is new and fresh! In fact, I learned that it takes about a year to design and prepare for the next show and it shows with flawless, exciting shows each year. Each year, I swear that it was the best show yet and this year was no exception. All of our favorite Disney Princesses were at the show as well as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and their friends.
We were treated to an extra special surprise with a Meet and Greet with Merida from BRAVE! Our girls were so excited! Merida is beautiful and so kind, she took time to talk with our girls, take pictures with them and give them her autograph. Our girls were star-struck!

As fun as it was for our girls to be able to walk around, get a drink from the fridge, and the convenience of a restroom, it was even more convenient for Karen. She has a baby who crashed for a 1/2 hour on the couch! We were all pretty spoiled, Thanks Bethany with Feld!
[slickr-flickr tag=disneyonicesuite]New this year was Pinocchio, my husband and I have been obsessed with the show, Once Upon a Time, so it was neat to see Pinocchio on the ice – alive and well. 🙂 It was a really fun opening act.
Last year, the big performance was for the Tangled movie. This year, all of our favorite Tangled characters including Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Maximus, and more gave us a shorter summary of the movie. It was very well-done.
[slickr-flickr tag=doicetangled]We were all waiting for Merida to arrive from the Brave movie. Many people haven’t seen Brave yet, so this was a very good introduction without giving away the plot of the movie. I love how strong and real Merida was in both the movie and the Disney on Ice performance. They did a great job at capturing Merida’s personality, struggles, and heart.
[slickr-flickr tag=brave]I was very surprised that the main feature this year wasn’t Brave but Beauty and the Beast. Disney on Ice did an amazing job recreating the story with all the enchanted items, Belle, and the Beast. There are many beloved Belle fans that will love the attention that Disney on Ice gives Belle in the Rockin’ Ever After show.
[slickr-flickr tag=beautyandbeast]My favorite part of any Disney on Ice show is the ending – not because I want it to end but because we get to see all the Disney Princesses at their happiest. Ariel had her legs and her prince. Merida had her independence. Belle had her prince. Mickey, Minnie, and their friends were as happy as can be. Disney on Ice does a great job creating a happy and exciting ending to every show.
