Do you like prophetic documentaries and movies? Check out The Jesus Boat, in this movie, it compares the destruction of Israel by the Romans in 70 A.D. and the miraculous prophecies that foretold Israel’s rebirth 2,000 year later with that of the first century fishing boats – like that Jesus and his disciples used. Even though all the boats were known to be destroyed, against all odds, 2,000 years later, a miracle happened. A boat from the time of Jesus rose up and floated upon the Sea of Galilee.

I was fascinated by the Biblical prophesies made regarding Israel and all that has come to past in The Jesus Boat.
I was amazed when they revealed the “Jesus Boat” and the story of how they found it and worked together with the people of that area to bring it safely out of the mud and muck. Getting everyone to work together was no easy task, everyone wanted claim on this discovery. It was nothing short of God’s intervention that enabled all to work together.
Recovering the boat was a tedious effort in which they dug trenches around the boat to protect the boat from the rising waters while at the same time spraying it with water so it would not dry out and disintegrate.
The Jesus Boat is now on display at the Yigal Alon Museum.
The Jesus Boat is a video the whole family can learn from and enjoy. It features commentary from great theologians of today including Franklin Graham, Joel Rosenberg, Jay Sekulow, Skip Heitzig, and Chuck Smith.
Even if it isn’t the exact same boat Jesus sailed on, it is the oldest fresh water boat ever found and identical to the fishing boat that Jesus used. I find it inspirational.
The Jesus Boat makes an excellent gift for those interested in history, the Bible, and prophecy.
