Drive up or walk up, the heart of this event is about “exchange in kindness.” Bring a canned good or a gently used coat, and in return, you will get a free turkey to take home for your Thanksgiving feast. It’s an exchange that guarantees a win-win: you score a turkey, and someone in need benefits from your donation. All the canned goods collected will go straight to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, and the coats will be warming individuals through the Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana.
🚌 Free Rides to Giveaway Generosity
Worried about the commute? Don’t be! The Metro RTA is providing free rides to and from the giveaway. Just show the event flyer, and you’ll get a lift free of charge (valid for 2 hours before and after the event). It’s a small gesture that can make a big difference in someone’s day.
