Remember Toy Story 3? Remember how the end made your husband cry because of the coming of age scene? That same feeling is back.
It took Disney a few years to finally strike the nerve of the American Adult, but they did it in a visually compelling, landscape rich, generation-spanning spectacular that will have Garth Brooks singing “I’m much too young to feel this damn old” in your head for weeks.
I saw Cars 3 and I LOVED IT. The preview theater I attended included many critics and writers- and clapping erupted at the end of the movie.
Tackling subjects as quirky as Gen-X adults not accepting ideas of millennials, the difference being outside makes, the difference between rural and city life, and the realizations that you eventually will sit at the grownup table, Cars 3 has the ability to touch the American Psyche from 96 years old down to the smallest child.
Here’s the Trailer, but do note, it doesn’t share ANY of the good parts of the movie. You will just have to see it for yourself!
Cars 3 hits theaters this Friday. Do NOT miss it, and do consider it as a possible outing for Father’s Day. Make your dad cry.. 🙂
