The Akron Zoo is inviting you to the Rhino Rush 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, June 4, 2016 to prevent the extinction of rhinos from the wild. This race will help support conservation efforts of Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, the International Rhino Foundation, and Action for Cheetahs. All 3 organizations protect rhinos in Africa and Southeast Asia from poaching and habitat loss.
Rhino Rush will be held through the scenic Portage Lakes State Park with race check-in at 8am. Do your part to protect rhinos, including the last 61 Javan rhinos in the world! These conservation efforts also help those that share habitats with rhinos including elephants, lions, tigers, orangutans, wild dogs, giraffes, and tapirs.
The Akron Zoo Rhino Rush 5k Run/Walk is just $45 and includes a tech t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for the top donation earners including a behind-the-scenes tour for 4 people! Sign up today! Learn more about the Rhino Rush and invite your friends to join the race too on Facebook.
