Sesame Street Live “Elmo’s Super Heroes” in Mansfield, Ohio May 7 & 8

Our family has started calculating how many days must pass until we can see Sesame Street Live “Elmo’s Super Heroes” next month in Mansfield. We were thrilled to receive tickets for our family for the event in order to promote it and share our thoughts and review after the show. I happen to think Count Von Count would be proud of the countdown we have going on! My children just can’t wait to see their favorite Sesame Street characters, including Count, come to life on stage at the Renaissance Theatre. I will have my camera in hand to capture my youngsters singing, dancing and clapping along with Bert, Ernie and the other stars of the show.

A couple of years ago, we took our daughters to Sesame Street Place, a theme park in Langhorne, Pa. and had a wonderful time. Since our visit, the girls periodically ask when they can see the residents of Sesame Street again. I was so pleased to tell them the friendly little monsters would be traveling to see us this time!

The Vee Corporation’s Sesame Street Live “Elmo’s Super Heroes” will offer shows at 7 p.m. May 7 and 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on May 8 at the Renaissance Theatre, 138 Park Ave. West, Mansfield. I read the storyline and am thrilled at the valuable lessons included in this production. Children will learn they, too, can be super heroes if they develop healthy habits, such as nutritional eating and daily exercise. The audience will join Elmo, Big Bird, Abby Cadabby and their other furry pals on a mission to help Super Grover get back some of the “super” he seems to be lacking!

I believe the live show will offer a wonderful opportunity for interaction with your children. Learn new songs to sing together; engage in a discussion when you get back to the car about which characters you liked the best and why; and review the lessons taught later at home. I am even going to have my two oldest children draw their favorite moment from the show the next day so we can later display their artwork on the refrigerator alongside photos of them enjoying Sesame Street Live “Elmo’s Super Heroes!”
