Two New Babies at Akron Zoo

The Akron Zoo has two new babies on splashing around their exhibit. Courtney, the resident Capybara gave birth to 5 babies earlier this month. Unfortunately, 2 died during birth and 1 after a surgery on a dislocated hip. This is common for Capybaras. The 2 babies are healthy and on exhibit at the Akron Zoo’s Legends of the Wild. Capybaras are the world’s largest rodent. Rodent or not, these little babies are super cute! Be sure to take your kids to the zoo soon and throughout the summer to watch these little guys grow. We enjoyed watching last year’s snow leopard babies grow!
