Last week, I had a Pillsbury Potluck Party where each person brought a dish that they found on Pillsbury.com. The variety and dishes were amazing. We all shared recipes back and forth, although all are on Pillsbury.com for everyone to enjoy. Then, we voted on our favorite. See a sampling of our potluck party below and which recipe won the title of “Best Holiday Recipe”.
Streusel-Topped Apple, Cranberry and Fig Tart
This tart/pie was a big hit. It is a dessert full of surprises, it is way more than an apple pie! The addition of cranberries makes it quite festive and the figs give it an unexpected pleasant flavor!

If you are looking for an updated version of the standard Pumpkin Pie, this recipe is for you! It combines two fantastic pie flavors of pumpkin and pecans into one irresistible pie! Add whipped cream or a glass of milk and it’s perfect!

Holiday Pumpkin-Chocolate Strudel
If you like pumpkin and chocolate, this descendant treat is for you!

Hot and fresh tasting, this corn side dish is perfect for any meal or holiday gathering.

This is a great accompanying dish for taco night or to liven up any weeknight dinner. This dish is anything but boring!

Broccoli-Cheese Breadstick Bake
The easiest way to get your kids to eat broccoli!

Sweet Potatoes with Cinnamon Honey
Take a traditional holiday side dish of sweet potatoes and turn it into something all together new and delicious! The addition of honey and cinnamon makes this a lighter alternative to other sweet potatoes recipes.

Some dishes are best left traditional. Use Pillsbury’s Perfect Mashed Potatoes recipe and make everyone happy and satisfied with a classic.

Of course, as the Pillsbury Crescent Cook winner, we had to serve the Perfect Potato Pockets too!

Winner for Best Holiday Recipe
The winner was the Sweet Potatoes with Cinnamon Honey! Congratulations, Diana! This was my favorite too, although all dishes were super yummy. I have enjoyed Candied Sweet Potatoes for years. So, when I learned that this recipe is not the heavy brown sugar recipe that I was use to, I wasn’t sure if I would like it. The combination of honey and cinnamon is amazing with sweet potatoes – who knew?! I recommend trying the Sweet Potatoes with Cinnamon Honey this Thanksgiving or Christmas!

Potlucks are so fun. The hostess can relax a little by not preparing every dish. People generally like bringing something to share that sort of represents who they are. Recipes say a lot about a person, don’t you think? In the end, everyone ate too much and went home with great new recipes!
