Pizza is one of the most popular foods in the country—and a favorite of most children (and adults, too)! My husband, Matt, and I are happy to announce that we have opened a new East of Chicago pizza shop in West Akron—and it’s sure to become a favorite of your family’s, too!
East of Chicago West Akron’s Tasty Menu
The East of Chicago Pizza Company menu boasts a wide variety of handmade pizza, subs, salads, wings, sides and desserts—with more than 50 options to choose from. Our dough is made fresh every morning and we use the freshest ingredients, many of which come from local suppliers, such as Schaffer’s Market in Akron.
Amid the wide variety of menu options, East of Chicago is known for its signature pan crust and distinct specialty pizzas including the Taco Pizza, the 10-topping Tower, and the Food Network featured PB&J pizza. Other delicious pizzas from East of Chicago include the Chicago Deep Dish, the Loaded Crust and the 16-piece extra-large Big-E square pizza. Other great options? How about Loaded Nachos, the Chicken Bacon Ranch sub, ParmesanPOPS and, my favorite, our signature CinnaPOPS.
How We Came to Own an East of Chicago Franchise
East of Chicago is something that runs in the Craig family. Matt’s first job was delivering for the East of Chicago in his hometown of Apple Creek. Then, eight years ago, his parents purchased the East of Chicago in Medina and followed it up with the one in Rittman. Since then, Matt, along with his two brothers have been managers of their parents’ stores and have helped turn failing shops into wildly successful ones.
Two years ago, after working various office jobs and being successful but not happy, Matt decided to pursue becoming an owner of his own East of Chicago shop. After much sacrifice, road blocks, and hard work, we saw our dream come true when we opened the doors this week.
It is exhilarating to be your own boss and chart your own course, and we love meeting all the great customers, talking with them and working with them. East of Chicago is a product that Matt and I believe in, and we’re happy to share it with the city we love!
East of Chicago West Akron Location & Hours
We found the perfect location in the Wallhaven Building, located at the intersection of Market, Exchange and Hawkins, right in the heart of west Akron. East of Chicago West Akron delivers to all of West Akron, Copley/Fairlawn, Downtown, the University of Akron and the Valley.
