I don’t know about you but I’m ready for a break. It has been non-stop since Thanksgiving with Christmas shopping, wrapping, parties, running errands, decorating, and everything else! Let alone, cooking and baking for my family.
I have found that I need a to-do list or I can’t get it all done. I also like to treat my family to special things like a HoneyBaked Ham dinner during the holiday season. HoneyBaked Ham makes Christmas and the holiday season easier for us over-extended moms. Whether you pick a meal up for a mid-week family dinner or for a dinner party, you’ll have smiling faces and filled tummies when you choose HoneyBaked Ham.
I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for HoneyBaked Ham. I received a gift card to facilitate my shopping trip and to thank me for participating.
I enjoy entertaining, especially during Christmastime. However, there is only so much time for everything to get done. I recently inviting family over for dinner and served HoneyBaked Ham. It was a huge success, everything loved dinner and it was a cinch to put on the table. I ordered the meal by phone, then picked it up the day before my dinner party.
I had already chosen my sides and they had them waiting for me, however their displays tempted me more. They have many home-style side dishes that will please any guest at your table. I knew that you could purchase turkey at HoneyBaked Ham but I didn’t think about just ordering a turkey breast as a side to the ham. This is a great idea for families that can’t decide between ham or turkey – have both! They even have a delicious assortment of dessert to choose from!
They opened the ham up at the store to show it to me before I left. I ordered a 7lb quarter ham, the perfect size for my dinner party of 8.
HoneyBaked Ham recommends serving the ham at room temperature since it is fully cooked. Simply get it out of the refrigerator a hour before you are ready to serve and it is ready. What could be easier than that? We prefer the ham warmed, so I warmed it at 275 degrees for 10 min/pound.
Preparing the food at home was a cinch. It is just heat-and-serve. I liked that my sides all required the same oven temp too, making it easy.
Here I am slaving away at my delicious meal. 🙂
What a spread! Everyone had seconds on the HoneyBaked Ham, it was delicious. The glaze was amazing, adding wonderful flavor to the tender, juicy ham. We had plenty of leftovers to keep at home and send with family too.
The Yukon Mashed Potatoes were creamy, yet had the rustic texture with the left-on skins. They were flavorful and buttery. The Cinnamon Apple Slices were a big hit, smothered in a sauce of cinnamon and spices. We had them on the side, as a dessert-like addition to dinner. It could easily be dessert with a scoop of ice cream on top. My favorite was the Sweet Potato Souffle, it had a perfectly sweet flavor of brown sugar with walnuts and pecans.
We added a few little items like bread and a salad to round the meal out, check out the full spread below! Anyone hungry?
