Say hello to the Bourbon BBQ Dunked Ultimate Chicken Sandwich and you never eat another chicken sandwich again. I’ve had this sandwich twice in just one week, it’s so good – and I have to drive 40 minutes out of my way to get to SONIC! The portions at SONIC are always generous, this sandwich is large, I can’t finish an entire one in one sitting – as hard as I try because it is so good. The large chicken fillet is dunked in a sweet bourbon BBQ sauce and then topped with pickles and onion and served with a brioche bun.
The first time we tried the Dunked sandwiches, we enjoyed dining at SONIC on their patio. I had the Bourbon BBQ sandwich and my husband had the Garlic Parmesan pictured below. It has a delicious but not overpowering garlic and Parmesan sauce that fills your taste buds. We always taste eachother’s food in my family especially when someone exclaims that their food is soooo good. My husband’s sandwich was very tasty but my kids and I all three agree that the bourbon bbq wins.
I stopped by SONIC to pick up 3 Bourbon BBQ sandwiches and one Garlic Parmesan. I thought for sure my husband or son would choose the Buffalo Dunked Ultimate Chicken Sandwich because they like spicier foods but when you know the other two combinations are amazing, it is hard to not order it again! 🙂 I like to bring SONIC food home or to a park for a picnic as a surprise and my family always love it. I usually pick up a family-size box of tots or fries and that makes it a meal!
