Last week, most of the AOM girls met up at Bricco in Downtown Akron for a much needed girls night out. It was the first time that I’ve been there and won’t be the last. Great atmosphere and fantastic food!
Believe it or not, the AOM bloggers haven’t been life long friends, with the exception of myself and Veronica who have been friends for the past dozen years. We have been through a LOT together over the years, supporting each other all along the way. I thank God for our friendship.
The rest of us have only had occasion to get together a few other times. Although we all are very different in our interests, we all just “click”. We had a fun, relaxing evening talking about everything from gifts we are buying this year to foster dog-parenting to my confessions on how we left the Christmas lights on the tree when we moved from our previous home. (We packed the trees that year too! It was just too cold with 2 feet of snow when we moved so we left ’em for the new owners to take down in the Spring.)
Dinner was amazing at Bricco. I had a shrimp pasta, Veronica had huge crab cakes, Jo had one of their famous pizza, and Beth had a ravioli dish. I plan on bringing my hubby Matt here for our next date night, it was so good!
